Can anyone please tell me what mutation/variety my little guy, Georgie is? The only info the breeder gave me was that he's a clearwing. Thanks!

He appears to be a Single Factor Yellowface Type II, Single Factor Violet Sky Blue Clearwing. He's one mutation shy of being a Rainbow Budgie, which he would be if he were also Opaline.

yellowfacedviolet - how do you determine yellowface type 1 vs type 2 exactly, before their first molt? I’m pretty sure I understand it correctly in person from my own birds, except that I have never seen goldenface in person before. But I would have called this bird sf yellowface type 1 at first glance. I suppose after his first molt it will darken more though.

You cannot with absolute confidence when it's based on a photo, which is why I said, "appears to be..." But if the photo is in fact an accurate representation, and this photo appears to be, there are certain details that can inform your best judgment. In my experience, SF type 1 on a young budgie is just a pale, barely detectable blush of yellow usually with little evidence of it elsewhere on the wings or body at that age. SF type 2 is more palpably yellow and there's more often evidence of yellow elsewhere--in this case on the wings.
That said, on another thread we had a series of photos of one budgie that demonstrated exactly how misleading a photo can be. In one picture, I assume taken with flash, the bird looks absolutely white-faced. So much so I missed the call, but Hezz spotted it. In another, there's a blush of yellow, and in yet another the bird is palpably goldenfaced.

Okay, that all makes sense, thanks!
I saw that other thread. Even in the goldenface-looking photos I was thinking maybe it could have been type 2 in person, because the deepness of color could have been partially due to contrasting with the very pale body color. Also didn’t think goldenface could appear so washed out in the first photo, but didn’t take the time to chime in. 😅 I’m still absorbing and processing...
