I bought some "pick n fly" recently for my birds. Took a look at it yesterday and it seems to have some white furry bits on the stem so I am soaking it in a diluted F10 solution today. Thanks for this thread

The dilution instruction are HERE Mick. I make a solution in a spray bottle and keep it in the fridge. After washing the perches with soap and warm water, I spray it generously with F10 and wrap a plastic sheet around it. It keeps the perches wet for a few hours, thus killing everything.

Rather than washing the Millet could you not just put it into the freezer for a period of time to kill off the bugs....my other half keeps a range of Millipedes that eat oak leaves etc and he always puts the leaves in the freezer to kill off the bugs before he feeds any to them.

I don't think freezing kills mould spores.

I sprayed it on to a nest box concave and when I checked after about 90 minutes it was bone dry........is this too long for drying Thank you.

I read your thread and I wondered if you could help me my budgie is not eating his seed at the moment and will only eat millet,,I left him for 6 hours yesterday and he didn't eat his seed, when I got back there was seed on the floor of the cage but they were not opened, and as he kept on tweeting at me I gave in and give it to him,but surely if he can eat his millet he can eat his seed,,he seems ok other wise, have you any ideas and hope you don't mind me asking as I am worried
