Yep I have Hezz, we have that new smart glass what keeps the heat in in winter and in summer keeps the heat out. We use it every day and all day. I have my breakfast, lunch and sometimes the evening meal in there. I am lucky to have a husband who does things. This morning he is replacing the suspended ceiling tiles in the kitchen ceiling and yesterday put new halogen lights in and took out the old florescent ones. It's so flipping bright now you need sun glasses on. He has re tiled all the walls, but not having new kitchen units as they are solid oak and I don't like the new kitchens. Hopefully this week new Staron worktops, they do not have any joints in them so should look better than my old ones. They have to be specialist fitted and where they do joint, they fill in with resin, sand it down and it looks like one piece. I do hate the mess thought and I have so many teapots to move and they want to go in my cupboards, even I don't venture into them unless I want something. I have wedding presents from mine and my mums wedding in there!!!!!! Oh well, another 5 weeks and it may be finished.

Oh gosh, it’s hard, isn’t it, when you have heirlooms to take care of? I did manage to rescue a few of my mother’s, meaning that there are some of my grandmother’s as well. Not an easy task when there is so much distance between abodes. Have couple of good stiff gins and the next five weeks should go relatively quickly.

Oh would love to see pictures of your bar suesbird! That sounds like the pefect daily retreat! Can't beat a G&T, interesting those flavoured gins, might have to give them a go too! As for new plants have already ordered 3 tomato plants and a chive plant delivery er May I think?! And will be buying some Calendulas, Cosmos, Japanese Anemonies and something else as we've had to get rid of that lovely pink rose in our garden and replace it with our white climber. I was sad to see it go but the problem was is that it was here when we arrived and was badly covered in powdery mildew and no matter what we tried to do to keep it at bay it just got worse and worse. So I dug it up 2 weeks ago! Will show pictures once have planted all my new things when they arrive Can't wait to see everyone elses pics too - suesbird please do make with the bar and the pergola!

The yellow one ffiscool looks like a primrose, but is probably a primula too. When they get too big you can divide them quite easily and make more plants!!

No seasons in Malaysia just rainy season and hot season I should think! Now is what season I'm not sure. I'd say transitioning from rainy to hot, it's been really hot and everyone is watering plants like crazy. Been raining really heavily at night and morning though.

It's pretty hot over here too.. outdoors its 40 degrees Celsius.. I'm just trying to preserve my shadow plants I brought with me from my old place.. Our flat gets the morning sunlight, so a bit hopeful.. Checking out how my existing ones survive the summer, before bringing in more.. I really love flowering plants, but I haven't been able to keep them alive ever!
Though I'm planning to grow birdie related plants like moong, chickpea, fenugreek, rye, coriander and hopeful on millet to grow my own millet sprays.. let's see how it goes over here.. People say they have to struggle to keep the plants alive over here.. I also want to get a basil plant 😍

mona - the millet should love the hot weather, as long as you can keep it wet enough. It also loves water so... Good luck!!!

Have just ordered another load of plants for delivery April/May: Some thyme:
And some gorgeous japanese anemonies
Plus the usual cosmos (we always choose white for the moths as well as other insects)
And calendulas...
...that we have in the sunniest spot in the garden in front of the tomato plants (they did really well last year)
