ariella I'm absolutely free these days and I just watch them the entire day π I love the way Cookie uses the swing.. Breezie however is just interested in Singing and food - a bit shredding once in a blue moon.. Sometimes, I wonder if Breezie is all content with food and singing π
Cookie is definitely more intelligent than Breezie.. He just follows her all day or sings.. π The other day me and my hubby were thinking about how to get more natural branches for them - get up early & sneak out at 4 or 5am, carry our ladder & blade - people won't think we are crazy, when there are none to watch ππ
@sillycat84 that's a huge compliment π I'm just playing with their food everyday (also, since I'm on a work break π

Iβm envious that youβre able to watch them so much. Iβm in and out their room all the time but to just sit with a cup of tea and my feet up observing their funny little ways is what I try and achieve at least once a day, if only for 20 minutes. Nobody would bat an eyelid at you and hub out and about with a ladder and a sawβ¦ wouldnβt look suspicious at all. πππ Actually, probably no one would see you. Might be the perfect time to go out too, with no one around!

Tried hiding their chop inside a Kale leaf. It didn't work well - they gave me that "what are you doing crazy woman" look! π I had to show them that there's food inside.. PS: The way I do with birdies, I never cook the same for us π I can't hide anymore that I'm interested in Cooking - but only for birdies. Hubby needs to cook for me! π

πππ Love it that you had to show them! Is your hubby a good cook? Mine can cook but heβs so fastidious and takes an age, so unless I was pregnant and had my head in a bucket, Iβve always done the cooking for the family. Canβt say I love it but I can rustle up most traditional dishes. I have more of a passion for baking. I bet you have such delicious, aromatic traditional dishes.

Tbh, I have never been interested in cooking. My hubby and in laws are all foodie.. so, I developed an interest in Cooking. But I can't go for dishes that take hours in the kitchen. My hubby is unofficial chef.. he has also studied food technology, so he knows well about food taste, aroma, nutrition, etc.. He experiments well with food and comes up with new recipes or strange variations in recipes no one can think about. I normally steal his recipes and show off to the relatives. He doesn't mind π
However, the kitchen is a mess when he is done though - you have to pay a price for everything π

A birdie birthday cake on my birthday π§‘π This was pretty easy 5 min recipe : Semolina, blended veggies & few chopped ones, water, a drop of virgin coconut oil. Baked it in oven. It really tasted good. We tried it out too. Tastes better with ketchup or pickles for us. For the first time, non salted snack tasted good too! Birdies also liked it in the first go! π And a paper candle π
And that's a homemade brownie cake hubby made for me π I might make one vanilla cake with choco toppings, for sending it to friends (not sure yet)

They look so good!! I make doggy-safe birthday cakes on my dogs birthday. What a lovely idea to make one to send to friends. Such a thoughtful sweet treat during the current circumstances.

We ended up sending dinner, cake, few homemade snacks and finger puppets to our friend. My hubby dropped the food package at their society gate & they collected it later. It really feels good and connected too.. He sent us videos of his daughter enjoying the cake & playing with finger puppets.. π I think this was the best way to celebrate my lockdown birthday! π§‘πHis wife is really good cook too - she sent us dinner a few days back, when she made a new recipe π
My aunt bakes doggy safe cakes for her doggy too on occasions ππ§‘

Itβs nice you had your hubby home for the day to spend it with you. Just having him bake you a brownie cake must have been lovely. My weakness is definitely baking.

Made smaller bird bread using pellets.. hoping this wouldn't mess up their poop color. Wanted to add eggs too, but we ran out of eggs. Next batch. I can make fresh ones daily.. Used pellets, mixed millet flour (proso, kodo, browntop, foxtail, finger/red millet), brown rice flour, a bit of corn flour & little wheat flour, some dry fruits and veggie chop..
