Hi, what would be the minimum size for a cage to bring budgie outside (Hanging in a gazebo to get some outside time) and to stay in for a couple of days on the rare occasion that I would have to go away? My regular cage is a pretty large flight cage. Thanks for any advice!

Small prey birds should not be left outside unsupervised unless in a properly constructed purpose-built aviary that has been rodent-, snake- and raptor-proofed, usually by being double-meshed. Not even for a short amount of time each day. Predators will learn to check where you hang your budgie’s cage and move in for the kill before you are aware. Mice and small snakes can fit through the smallest spaces, being able to flatten their bodies to squeeze through spaces you would never think possible. Snake/mouse proof mesh is in 1cm squares.
