It is not the best but also not the worst I’ve seen. Probably not a bad mix for where you live. I don’t do “meals” so can’t help you there; I feel you would have to be home all day, every day, to properly have this happening.

You basically do have to be home all the time to feed in set meals! Whenever I leave to run errands I always free-feed. If I ever have to be away consistently during the day, I would probably have a greater challenge feeding fresh foods. At least my lot really enjoy them now, so I could probably get away with a breakfast and dinner thing, and free feed a pellet and seed mix during the day. I bet Monkey and Topsie would become pretty fat though... and maybe a few others too, since I'd have to keep them caged more as well. Every once in a while I let mine free feed all day too (and not just because I've gone out for errands), cause who doesn't like to pig out once in awhile? They seem to eat large morning meals, followed by intermittent snacking throughout the day, and another large meal before bedtime. They usually only eat about an extra tablespoon of food overall compared to what they normally get - but I wonder how evenly that extra portion is split between them all! Do you weigh your birds regularly, btw? I wouldn't feed set meals without weighing them regularly anyway, to begin with. For me, the set meals started as a way to get Monkey's weight down, and to make sure none of the others could become fat too. Even so, since I let them all eat together most of the time, Topsie still gained weight suddenly, so this plan clearly isn't fool-proof. I do enjoy the meal prep though and airing my meals with them too. They keep me on a schedule
