I have a new inmate and she cannot fly. Any advice for a small cage from Amazon that I can get delivered tomorrow?
The ones I have currently are a bit big for her as I'm not sure she can climb well.
Maybe some ramps or something? It's a while since I had a flightless budgie.

Do you know how old she is? I wonder if it’s a deficiency, that flight could happen? Does it even work that way.

Looking at her tail feathers, I wonder if she has french moult. Do you know how old she is? I wonder if it’s a deficiency, that flight could happen? Does it even work that way.

Poor little thing, but thankfully she’ll have you to look after her

Marianne Marlow Maybe something like a hamster cage would suit her, where you can have platforms with ladders for her to climb?

I was just looking at that one. Would 23cm tall be too shallow though? Could she stand on a perch placed at the bottom of the bars?
Looking at hamster cages, I have realised that my hamster had one heck of a decent cage. We turned that one into a cage for Emerald.

I was just googling cages for non flying birds etc, someone put flat plywood around the sides, like a platform but means she can sit/rest flat there too without having to grip on normal perches

Looks a bit taller. And she might like the platform to rest on.

Too bad I don't live near you. I'd have been able to let you borrow my travel cage whilst you were looking for something more permanent.

Bit out of my price range and too big for the space I have available. With my current spare cage, I'd be worried she'd fall to the floor if she managed to climb to the top. Even with a padded floor it's a bit of a drop.

Yes, that is problematic. They always make such a thud when they hit the cage floor. Poor little lamb.
