They’re lovely but it seems strange that they’re going for free with the cage too. Is there a budgie rehoming charity? I have rehomed from the Tortoise Protection Trust a few times but usually it’s due to ill health, change of circumstances, not having the correct paperwork to sell, realising what’s involved in exotic husbandry, etc.

I have taken in birds where people have stated that they don't have time for the birds or their kids got bored with them, or even one where the boyfriend didn't like the bird. Everyone has their reasons. They’re lovely but it seems strange that they’re going for free with the cage too. Is there a budgie rehoming charity? I don't think there is a budgie rehoming charity, not in the UK anyway.
My home is full with 9 birds or I'd take them.

I would if I had more room and was closer.
Some people charge for birds when rehoming because they want to increase the chances of them going to a good home that actually wants them or to recoup some of their expenditure.
Others just want them to go quickly, I guess, or be more appealing to people, but who knows how much they vet the new home.
