I am sure you will be fine, it will all come back :-)
it is a long time for so many people. it will take acclimatising - lots of companies here have reviewed how they work, so it will not go back to as many going in, for a long time to come. it showed how people can work from home, which is obviously cheaper on rental space for the offices if they can downsize.
one good thing, my company is very good on this sort of thing, as in what helps people or how to be a leader in forward thinking. so they will not force anyone to go in either if they feel uncomfortable. but as the office was open plan, with social distancing and one way systems, they cannot have everyone back anyway. for admin people like me, it is not necessary to go in.

That's great to work from home in current situation. Definitely, socially connecting with office colleagues and friends will be missed, but being engaged in work as work from home should be satisfying too. I would have been bored a month after I quit my job, if I didn't had birdies with me.
I had been in a hectic schedule that demanded around 12 to 14 hours a day & half weekends of the year (no overtime pay 😒 ), so all of a sudden being free was a bit difficult.. but I needed a break badly to recover on my health due to such work schedule for past 10 years.. Still reluctant about going back, wondering about work hours - they mention 9 hours, but end up demanding work that needs more than 12 hours - exploitation in Software field 😔 Software company employees are working from home over here since past 1 year.. so that shouldn't be a problem..

ariella My friend's daughter loved the finger puppets 😍 Since we can't visit each other for dinner or lunch together (self imposed restriction), we are sending food to each other's home, on occasions or otherwise when making a special dish. I would love to see your work when it's done. Also, all the best for your wedding anniversary plans 🤗🧡 I have a lot of restrictions on the kind of exercises to be done too, owing to health issues - that makes me more lethargic. I have to always search which ones I can do! ffiscool All the best for work! I wonder how I'll work again after such a long break! What a lovely way to help each other to get through this difficult time. How wonderful it will be when you get to have a meal together once it is safe. I made meringues this morning so have just sat and enjoyed one with strawberries and cream. Might as well get this weekend off to a good start! 😉 I’ve got some red millet for the buds so everyone is getting treats. 😃

mona and ffiscool, I really hope everything goes well as you get used to returning to work. I think firms have had to reassess throughout the pandemic and clearly where business has continued to work well with staff working from home, it surely makes more sense to continue and not pay for the office space and high rates. It sounds like you had such a demanding role mona. Pressure like that leads to burnout and I feel incredibly worried for those who have worked double shifts back-to-back in ICU units and seen so much trauma. In some professions it is so hard to socially distance too. My second son is a technician and has been classed a key worker as obviously frontline workers still need their cars fixed. In cases where they’ve had to lift in and out gearboxes, it can take several techs due to the weight and fiddllness. I have to just trust that all his colleagues are taking all precautions not to get infected. One had Covid as his wife works in a hospital, but thankfully they all had it mildly and no one needed to be hospitalised. As soon as his wife was diagnosed, he immediately went into isolation but it was a worrying wait at the time to see if my son developed symptoms. He ate separately to us and we tried to maintain social distancing even at home, all concerned about protecting my youngest. I’ve gone so off-topic here! 🙄 Mona, how have Cookie and Breezie enjoyed their lovely play area? Have they shredded any of the lovely paper figures?

ariella We have had such episodes of quarantine a couple of times with our immediate family. It's worrying indeed. Cookie Breezie have taken a long time to get used to new items, but sometimes they surprise me now.. they haven't explored it yet.. Looking forward to them using it 😍

Made this ocean themed foot massage board for birdies.. went on the cage top. All are naturally hand collected and washed, soaked in vinegar - there's no sand any where on it. I have selected the non sharp sea shells to avoid injuries. The texture of the sea shells in combination of pebbles feels amazing (if birdies use it!). I will have to clean a lot with the setup I'mgoing for, but it would be worth it, if they feel good! The shredding pot is fixed, rest of it isn't. There's a paper liner too at the bottom. Still I think I'll remove the tiniest pebbles there. They shouldn't be able to ingest it - i don't know if they can or will, just thinking what would babies do.. Washed my entire tiny sea shell collection too! I wish to do this for ourselves too 😍 Pebbles and shells in a ceramic pot with water and some flowers.. dip the feet in it, sit in the balcony watching the wild birdies at sunset 😍🧡

That’s a clever idea mona. 😊 They really are so pampered. I love all your seashells. Are you near the coast? I decorate the lounge, dining room and hall seasonally. It’s just something I’ve loved doing for years and for summer I have lots of shells, faux starfish and sea glass. I usually get it out by the end of May but so far it’s not remotely summery here so it might wait until June. Doing the same for yourself and your hubby for the evenings sounds so relaxing, like a spa treat. The flowers are probably gorgeously scented too. I love incense (Nag Champa especially) but only burn it in my study, which is on a different floor to the buds, plus I keep the door closed.

Lucky buds. I’m sure after they know they won’t be attacked by a shell, they’ll love it

ffiscool Thank you.. The birdies have never seen a sea shell or pebble.. I'm not sure about their reaction - they generally take a lot of time to get used to. They are really unpredictable right now. The other day breezie came real close to me on the bed a couple of times. I didn't expect that at all. ariella Thank you! Creativity is a real mood booster! There are a lot of sea shells in western part of India, where I live (not exactly my city). I collect sea shells whenever I visit the beaches over here. My in-laws stay in a coastal area, so we collect from the beach over there too. There's a natural lake 1 hour from here, which is visited by migratory birds.. They sell some larger sized shells there too. I have many sea shells collected since past 6 years for craft work, but didn't use it anywhere 😅 I haven't used incense after I had birdies with me..my hubby loves it though, but has no permissions to use 😅 I like the natural reed diffuser with Sandal cinnamon scent.. Though that won't work in the balcony 🙈

It'll be interesting to see how they react to the shells and pebbles, great idea

Have Breezie or Cookie tried out their pedi-massage board yet mona? Not yet ariella. They haven't explored the play gym too yet. They take a while to get accustomed to new things - from days to months.. 🙈

They will eventually and they’ll love them both, I’m sure. Breezie's feet had almost recovered. But today morning, same feet is again slipping on the perch. It's not as bad as the previous one, but I think he has hurt the same spot. This time, I'm so sure there's nothing pointed that could hurt him. It seems he crash landed that ended up with pressure on same spot. Cookie breezie both squabble for a while on where to sleep, maybe during that flying period. The night lamp is bright enough for them to find food in middle of night. Cookie once eats between 3 to 5am and breezie at 6 or 6.30 am. They don't have night frights too. I was so dejected and sad about him limping again. They are staying inside for a while till breezie recovers again and maybe will wait for him to recover completely this time. He was running on the bedsheet a couple of days back and it was sooo cute.. I feel so sad..just giving him acv and cayenne pepper again. I wish I could do something better to help him.. 😭
