I hope my bird never gets it into his head to eat the furniture. I would find this deeply disturbing.

Why the little madam! Mind you, I bet you call her something in a bit more of a fruity language than that! Dare I ask how long that took to do?

I think it's right when they say; if you want to have kids, wish for girls. And if you want to get budgies, go for boys ;D

You (or Smudge) could call it a work in progress ....... but I would prefer the project stalled and went bankrupt immediately! But I have to admit it wasn't all her own work. Bluey was a contributer too, just not to the same extent - she is definitely the main culprit. I think it's right when they say; if you want to have kids, wish for girls. And if you want to get budgies, go for boys ;D I totally agree with the budgies, BB. But for the kids ........ I don't think I could handle the "girly" stuff with girls. They do my head in! Boys just push and shove and swear! They are open about it all, girls are all niggle, niggle behind the scenes ......sneaky, crafty against each other. Teenagers!

My Lilly would chew her way out of her cage if allowed to. As for girls, I have 2 and a boy. I can shout argue with my son and 5 mins later, all is well. The girls can sulk for ours and as for fall outs with friends, don't even get me started on that one

Yeah agree with you Hezz, girls can be a bit..well...bitey Well we are totally on different page here. I think it's the difference of tradition and culture. Unlike boys, girls are so nice, friendly, obedient and sympathetic towards parents. In schools and colleges, girls are way ahead in grades and marks than boys here. There will hardly be any complain about girls getting into troubles in school but it's very common with boys. No going out and no concept of boyfriends. They live with parents until they get married (sometimes it is in 30s). Even after marriage they take care of parents more than sons.

I would be stuck then, BB, having only boys! It could well be as you say. I am lucky in that my boys are in a school (all boys) where it is cool to succeed, study and do well, be respectful. A lot of businesses around town, if I mention where my boys are at school, will say something like "I like dealing with the Saints boys, they look you in the eye, speak politely and know how to hold a conversation" Not bad for teenage boys, hey?? Very off-topic, so back to naughty hens ............... Smudge got a bee in her bonnet about something yesterday. One minute sitting on my shoulder happily tweeting and the next chikkering loudy in my ear and bobbing about. The next thing I know, a nip on the ear and she has taken off! You want to too, Madam! A look in the mirror later in the day and I have been getting around with a blood-spot on my ear courtesy of Madam Nip herself. It has been a long time since she last did that.

What's rattled your smudge then eh? Were you not paying her enough attention? Or was it she demanded something from you in that chitter and you didn't listen hard enough?!!! ;D
