I am worried about my new bird Kiwi as she has a swollen and somewhat oozing cere. She was looking great when we got her, no problems at all with adjusting to the other birds, and she ate well also. Now, I recently became aware that she has one side of her cere swollen and it has a hard scab-like covering over the nostril opening. I touched it to see if it was some food or just a feather and it started bleeding! It didn't bleed very seriously but I am definitely worried. Here are some pictures, please tell me if it is serious

As Barrie said, it can be injured/damaged. Bumped into window or something.
OR
Another possibility is the presence of some kind of foreign body in the nasal passages.
OR
A common cause of swollen ceres is Sinusitis, an inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, caused by bacterial infections. Irritants like cigarette smoke can be the reason. Even poor nutrition can also be a cause.
Birds can carry on with sinusitis without showing the signs of illness for very long periods of time, so that's why she is active and eating well.
Sinusitis can only be diagnosed/confirmed by an avian vet. It is treated with antibiotics and sometimes sinus flushes are used as well.

Thanks for all your help and now I am concerned about my other new budgie, Blue. She panted (beak moving up and down) when I got her all the time I have her on my finger, so of course because I had just got her i thought it was nervousness. Lately, she's been panting even when she's in the cage..it just doesn't seem normal. Forgive me if I don't go over & correct any mistakes as I'm in a hurry.

Can you make a small video of her while panting?
