So had bambi at the vets to see about her wing. The vet doesn't think it's broken but it might be dislocated. But because it's been like that for a few months they won't be able to do anything with it. She said she wasn't in any pain so I can either pay nearly £350 for an x ray (high risk of her dying) or leave her as she is since she still eats, drinks and plays with her toys. She just won't be able to fly again

I thought it was a recent injury?
I'm sure she must have been in some sort of pain when she initially dislocated it.

I thought it was a recent injury as well, which is why I urged a vet visit asap. Poor little thing; that must have been painful at the time.

I thought it was a recent injury? I'm sure she must have been in some sort of pain when she initially dislocated it. The wing was totally fine a few months ago. Then slowly over time she started to hold it away from her body and would stretch it out. She has never done anything to dislocate it. And I honestly don't think it is. And the vet I saw (the closest one to me I can get to walking) isn't a bird specialist

The symptoms developed slowly over the few months after she went through a bad moult. I thought it might have been a feather cyst but the vet never mentioned that.

Don’t know the answer then; you would know if it was a feather cyst - you would be able to see that there was a problem.

You say that she couldn't have dislocated it, but could she have had a night fright?

You say that she couldn't have dislocated it, but could she have had a night fright? She lives in my room and her cage is next to my bed. She definitely hasn't had a night fright
