Hello. I had a budgie who been sick for a few months and i took him to different vets who couldnt find out what was wrong with him. In the end i found a vet who took a blood test and said he had problem with his liver, so i went back home with medic. Sadly he passed away the same evening He got some odd droppings, and i noticed now that my other youngest budgie starting to have the same looking droppings so im getting scared its something going around my budgies. Can there be some infection/bacteria that can transfer between birds? What should i ask the vet to look for next time i take them there? I spent so much money already without a solutoion so i feel like i need to give them a hint what to look for.. Ugh i wanted to share pictures of the droppings but it doesnt seem to work from the phone..

From your phone: Scroll down to the bottom of the page, you will find a button to click on called "Desktop" or "Desktop Mode". You need to be in this mode to upload from your phone's photo library. Once you've done that hit the REPLY button on the right hand side. Then hit the "ADD IMAGE TO POST" button at the top left hand side. This will take you into your photo library. You can upload your pictures from there.

Without the benefit of the vet’s consult or being able to see the bird, it is still very possible that your vet was correct with the liver damage diagnosis and that your younger bird is suffering from the same thing. What is the bird’s diet, how much exercise time does it get, what fresh food, and is it overweight?? A budgie that eats only seed is going to be much more prone to fatty liver disease than one who also eats a good array of vegetables and other fresh foods.
