Birds can create a lot of allergens and asthma can be aggravated by these.
I think they can have asthma themselves or whatever it is called in their case. This one is for Barrie.

Would be interesting to find out for sure. Just still wondering about Blueboy. He just had a gasping fit, I calmed him down as he panics and makes it worse.
Roll on Tuesdays vet visit, can't come soon enough.

I don't know about birds suffering from asthma but one of ours (Alfie now gone) had respiratory problems and wheezed quite badly before he passed on poor wee thing. I had a friend who died from an asthma attack and I have it but under control with med's (inhaler).

No Marianne prosmoke is a tablet that you light in the aviary, something like you would put in a greenhouse to fumeagate it, it kills bugs etc, does no harm to the birds,in fact it clears the birds bronchial system out,i use it once a month. [google pro-smoke for info]

That actually makes sense when you think about it, Ian, much like a spacer or nebulizer. Roll around Tuesday for Blueboy's vet check! Good luck Marianne (and Blueboy, of course)
