Can these be used in closed bird rooms? yes BB. no need to remove birds, water, seed or anything, just put 1/4 of a tablet on a tile on the floor open all cupboard doors, draws etc and light, then go out and close all doors and windows as you go,leave closed for 1 hour then open doors/windows to ventilate,i do mine the begining fo every month, even with chicks in the nest, haven't lost any yet [touch wood] DO NOT USE FULL TABLET AS THESE ARE FOR PIGEONS WHICH ARE MUCH BIGGER BIRDS. cut into 4 and coming in tubs of 3 the tub lasts 12months as one treatment per month is sufficiant,i pay around £7 from the local pigeon suppliers

It will be hard to get it here though. I was thinking of buying a fogger and placing diluted F10SC in it but this tablet stuff looks easier.

I don't know about birds suffering from asthma but one of ours (Alfie now gone) had respiratory problems and wheezed quite badly before he passed on poor wee thing. I had a friend who died from an asthma attack and I have it but under control with med's (inhaler). How long did Alfie have resp problems Milliej? My sister, grandad and dad/had have it. We have great lungs my family I know that they used an inhaler too. my mate had one a while ago Marianne, don't know how he treated it,but will ask next time i speak to him
Thanks Ian
Sorry I can't really help with this marianne, we only had Alfie for a few months, never knew his age and presume he wasn't a healthy bird when we got him (from a pet shop). Mind we got Mischief from a pet shop and she's been fine so far! Talking about lungs....I may have asthma but all the men in my family (two brothers and father) all died from lung cancer.... Hoping your vet appointment tomorrow goes well!

My dad rolled his own and was quite a heavy smoker but lived until he was 80. My husband used to smoke 60 a day but when I had my health scare in the 1980's he stopped! So some good came from that, mind he says he wouldn't pay the price in England as we got them a lot cheaper when we lived abroad! He does have heart problems though he's as stubborn as a mule and strong as an ox otherwise
