Thank goodness for the Cambridge’s, being a ‘normal’ family

I’m a huge royalist too! The thought of a republic turns me cold. Prince George is such a lovely boy. I think he has been brought up so well and his sensitivity is nurtured with a lot of care and thought to his future. I love all the Cambridge children and how different their personalities are. That hug with his mum and the delight on his face - makes me so proud of our royal family and how well they have dealt with everything that has been thrown at them this year.

If England get to win the World Cup again one day, perhaps it will be King George VII who presents it to the captain. I think England have done well to get to the finals and to play well. It never feels quite satisfactory winning on penalties somehow. Hopefully George was well-prepared for the possibility of England coming second. It was lovely to see William’s arm around him on his chest.

I never watch football but I was gutted and poor Saka and Rashford
Yes, although I’d like to think we’d win when it’s King William
Why did our team take their medals straight off?

I never watch football either but this one had to be watched really . That was a lovely moment with young George, they are such a lovely family trying very hard to have some normality Felt so for those young lads missing their shots

My hubby and I said the same about taking their medals off. It’s not a great attitude to display in our opinions; makes them look like bad losers. It was still a real achievement to get to a final plus it sends out the wrong message to the kids watching. There was one team who lost (possibly Croatia) and they stood in a line and clapped their supporters which we thought was really impressive and showed gratitude for their support and for getting as far as they did in the tournament. Of course England players were heartbroken but I think it looked like sour grapes. It would definitely be wonderful if King William could hand out winners medals and a trophy to England, maybe even King Charles, but I won’t hold my breath… Likelihood, if we wait another 55 years, is for it to be George, perhaps with his own heir beside him.
