He does. But his previous pics looked very male. Wondering if he just has a dry cere?

I'm remaining firmly on the fence for the next few months. I assume it will go definite one way or the other at some point!

That's a toughie. Certainly seems henny now but older photos seem more male. Time will tell, I guess!
I had a struggle with Ren, my recessive pied boy. Never had a recessive pied before. Even now I'm only sure he's male because he sings and head bobs and such like the other male budgies I've had.

I’m very late on this thread, but I’m going to throw in my guess that gorgeous Finnie is a hen I’ve also been pronouncing it as Fin-lay in my head, since it isn’t a common name to me and I’ve only seen it spelled 😁

I'm still pondering... The thing that strikes me about Finlays cere is how different it is to the other boys? This picture shows that quite nicely.

I think he’s a boy. Maybe it’s something you’ll never fully be sure of

Ooh, that is quite different. I guess the only way you may know for sure is to wait to see if it ever turns brown! I've always said Fin-LAY in my head as that's how it's spelt.

I wish everyone did the same as you; the only people who have ever pronounced my son’s name correctly first time are Scottish!

I say it as Fin-LAY too As for the grey budgie, I still think male Yay! I always thought Finley was obviously pronounced with a Lee and Finlay with a Lay, but so many people - almost everyone - has said it with a Lee. He won’t correct anyone due to his autism so I’m like a parrot sometimes.

When I was at school, there was a character in Home and away called Finlay (a female) and I'm sure they said her name as Fin-LAY.

When I was at school, there was a character in Home and away called Finlay (a female) and I'm sure they said her name as Fin-LAY. I remember her!! She was blonde and it was probably the first time I ever heard the name. Then I remember Nick Berry and his wife calling their son it and thinking how nice it was. Still didn’t use it until son number 3 though!

I think Finlay is a definite hen at this point.

I was wondering Morgan because the latest picture s showing obvious white rings around the nares. I'm still not very good at the "guess the gender" game!

I'm still unsure. My Snowy, at times had a cere a bit like this and then when he was in "hormonal male" mode it would go bright blue.
