It doesn't sound like the seed is the cause. I didn't want to say it cos I don't want to worry you but I hope he doesn't have any kind of lump that's stopping him from pooping properly. This was my initial thought as well. It sounds similar to what Smudge went through. If so, an anti-inflammatory drug such as Maloxin can help a lot for some time. If there is a growth that continues to grow, eventually the drug won’t be enough.

He’s pretty rough today, not really eating & was just vomiting a little. He’s calm though & he laid down contentedly across my face(!) for a budgie cuddle, something he’s been doing this week. Without wishing to sound fanciful it’s like he’s saying “goodbye, I love you”. He knows I love him so much too. 💙😢🐦💙

I'm so sorry he's so unwell. It does sound like he is getting as close to you as possible, it must be a comfort to him, knowing that you are there and how much you love him. He's a very special boy.

How old is Brodie?
I remember (I'm sure it was you) saying that he was diagnosed with AGY and that you would sometimes feed him on egg when he wouldn't eat. That really helped me when Sky had AGY.

I know you all know now how hard it is. Thank you for your kind support (this forum is pretty special!). Marianne, I’m glad that helped Sky. We’ve actually given him some egg this afternoon & he did have a little look at it.

I hope the egg helped Brodie. Has he perked up at all?

I hope the egg helped Brodie. Has he perked up at all? He only had a couple of tiny bits & rejected the millet. He’s lost 4g since last night. Surprisingly he has come out to his playgym this evening though just for a little look.

Amazingly he’s still here today. He’s eaten a small amount & sat on his playgym. V sleepy & we had a nice snuggle together earlier. 💙

I'm glad to see he's still with you. He's looking a bit fluffed up, hopefully it's nice and warm for him.

Yes, a heat lamp or pad may help him feel more comfortable. He will be using a lot of energy to keep his core body temp up.
C’mon Brodie, you can do this. Feel better, little man.

He’s spent some time on my heat pad today, not sure what he makes of it though! His body/ heart is working hard but he has eaten a little today which is an improvement. (I know this is only going to end 1 way though). He’s a star!
