Would you believe me if I told you that I whistle and head bob to Nubby too? He used to do it a lot with Murph but now he enjoys it when I do it lol!

Just to say that we have finally settled on Bramble and he's a normal green - did I mention that?

Just to say that we have finally settled on Bramble and he's a normal green - did I mention that? Willow and Bramble, I think they go really nice together. Normal green?? I don't know if I saw that mentioned somewhere 🤣🤣 How is the little fella anyway?

He's doing really well thanks jellybean. Poos are becoming more solid, he's taking water and seed when I offer him the pots (when I change them morning and evening) and is eating and drinking on his own too. I think he's desperate to get out though. Lots of branch running and rapid wing-strengthening flapping. The plan is to secure the small bedroom and allow him out for a solo flight tonight. Fingers crossed it goes well and that it doesn't take too long to entice him back into his cage. Millet at the ready...

Thanks ariella, it went really well. It took him a while to build up the confidence to leave the cage but once he had, he had a blast. He did about half a dozen fast laps of the room before taking himself back into the cage. Rest, eat and repeat a further 3 times. Having taken himself back into the cage after his last lap he sat on one leg, grinding his beak and looking sleepy and content as I closed him in for the night. It must have felt good for him to stretch his wings after so many weeks stuck in his cage. I'm under no illusion that it's going to go as smoothly next time, he's probably just lulling me into a false sense of security, but tonight couldn't have gone better - phew!

How lovely for both of you, his foray into the world outside his cage. . For sure, though, he is just waiting to catch you off guard.

Yep, complete false sense of security. Yesterday, no need to go anywhere, we had all the time in the world. Today he's perched on the curtain rail, been there for 45 mins already and doesn't look like he has any intention of taking himself back home any time soon. I need to go out in 2 hours, little monkey

Uh-oh. Might have to resort to the bobble of millet blackmail option.
