So we had this female budgie for some weeks now and things are going well and she is happy and we are happy for her. We had several male budgies when i was a kid, so we are use to budgies. But this female budgie that still is less that 1 year old sure is a strange one. So i want to ask in here if this is normal Here is some of the things we find strange.
She dosent like millet or veggies at all, but she eats well of her seed bowls in the cage and playground and these seed sticks is her favour. She is obsessed with a dreamcatcher that soon has seen its last day due to it gets ruined day by day by her littel bussy beak. The way she sits or holds on to the dreamcatcher looks amazing. Her legs are spread to each side like splits or she just hangs in 1 claw and plays monkey When we eat dinner then she comes to the table to be social, but only looks on our food and then she starts to lick the tableprotecter that is made of some sort of transparent plastic. Its like she is licking her own breath trails like small kids do on the windows. And she runs back and forth from side to side while doing it. Looks like a dance When we have her on our finge, then we try to make different noises that she can mimic easy. Then she wants to stick her head inside our mouth to fin dout where the sounds comes from or something. We know its not healty for birds to do this due to human bacteria. But she realy tries to push her head thru our lips while she holds her leg or claw on our lips while she says a chirping sound. So we trained her to sit on my shoulder, but then she crawls down to my throat and bites in my T shirt and sometimes i get small lovebites there also if i pull in my t shirt. Then she is also obsessed with flower pot mats made of cloth/textile. When she is in that mood then she dont care about us and the attention is gone.. Overall she chirps and sings while looking healthy. Lately she starts to land on my finger when i hold it up toward her and says "Come to me" few times. So thats a good thing And she also starts to bump her beak against my nose to show love affection. That is so cute when she does that. My mother says i have a new girlfriend Since she is more happy to se me than seeing my mother
So is all this normal ?
Or what is going on inside her head

I think she sounds like a delight and she clearly loves you all very much. What is her name?
My first budgie was very playful and affectionate just like you describe. It all depends on their personality and it sounds like you struck lucky with your new friend. So I'd say it sounds normal behaviour for her.
In answer to your question about veggies, I'd keep trying and see if you can persuade her to eat some. Games with them, presenting them in different ways. Have a look through some of the posts on the feeding page and you might get some good ideas of things to try.
Your mum is right you do have a new best friend 😉. Enjoy!

But maybe we should try and find a name for her since she starts to fly to me when i say - Come to me -

re the veggies etc.. try eating them in front of her, slowly and making yummy, hmmm noises etc. hopefully her curiosity will get the better of her and she might want to try what you are eating.

Haha we allready tryed that but then she tastes it and shake her head and make a sound that clealy sais " i dont like that anymore"
At first she was eating apple and cucumber and some salad, but now it just wither in the cage. We also tryed to buy seed mix with veggie stuff in it, but then these green and orange pellets gets left over.

She does sound delightful and she is doing all those normal hen things. When she comes to the table while you eat, try putting some vegetables cut up very small on the table and see if she'll try them. Since she likes chewing things, try giving her whole lettuce leaves. She may try shredding them and get a taste for it while shredding.

Have you tried carrots and sugar snap peas? The crunch, she might like Carrots are a hit in our house. Finely grated carrots mind you, won't touch it if it's coarsely grated. Meanwhile my brother's birds like sliced carrots... Essentially you need to try lots of vegetables and prepare them in multiple ways as well in order to find what the little madam likes 😂

So i tryed Carrots but that was not a hit..she looks completly uninterrested in veggies. First time when we got her, then we gave her apple and she was all in to it. But weeks later she lost the taste for it. For now its only these seed sticks and the ones that is formed like a bell. She dosent eat much from her seed bowls, but we placed a small seashell on her playground with the same seeds and she eats from that. Strange...But she dosent look a starvin bird
