I administered some spot on to my little male budgie Pierre this morning but he has a new friend Fern a green and god budgie we got yesterday. Im worried Fern might try to nibble the back of his neck. Would this make her sick?

Hi, welcome.
Ideally the budgies shouldn’t be together. Your new one should be quarantined for a month before they mix.
I’m not sure about the spot on, if it could cause harm or not.

You may find contradictory information regarding this, but Ivermectin is both a topical and oral medicine. If your new hen preens some off the other’s feathers it should not affect her.
And, yes, she should have been quarantined away from your resident bird for four weeks to be sure that no disease or latent illness developes or is passed on.
