I’m giving Max, ACV - looked up the dose. As I didn’t have a small enough measure, I’ve made up 500ml. How long does it last as I didn’t need nearly that amount? I’ve used a 500ml water bottle and it’s in the fridge.
I’ve done 5ml to 500ml ratio. And how often?
I think I’m going to start drinking it too

I make up a fresh mix for my guys every day - 3 drops ACV in 100 ml water. Their water cup holds 50 ml when half full so making 100 ml allows for the occasional spill.

I don’t have a dropper but when I look up how many mls is a drop, I’m getting conflicting results.
I don’t want to overdo it and put him off drinking

You can buy a small dropper in any chemist ffiscool. 3 drops per 100ml is what I use too.

I wondered if I could keep it when I was told 1tsp per 500ml too, ffiscool, but didn't want to risk it. 3 drops per 100ml sounds much better.

I’ll get a dropper 😊. He had a sip of what I’d made up, shook his head for a split second.

I think I’m going to start drinking it too I've been drinking a daily ACV cocktail of 1 TBS of ACV in a glass of sparkling water for several years now. Haven't had need to use a single antacid in all that time. Other friends of mine and family drink it for its probiotic properties and report great results. One tip: if you do drink it, use a straw. It can wear down tooth enamel for some folks who are sensitive in that department.

Dropper's are the way, i wouldn't trust anything else. I use the 3 drops to 100 too, mine always shake after a sip too, puts feathers on their chest My dad swore by daily ACV but he used to buy Honeygar which was much more palatable, i see you can still get it in Holland and Barrett but equally i guess you could make your own, just add a teaspoon of honey

I make my own ACV, got some on the go now, it is so easy! Takes about six weeks to make, depending on the weather as it works better in the summer, takes longer to ferment in the winter. You can make 2 to 3 bottles at far less than the cost of a Braggs single bottle.

Yes, I make it all the time now Hezz. Can't always get completely organic apples, but alwayss get organic honey. It works and is a lot cheaper than buying. I use it for the chooks as well as the buds, so it's worth it for me.

I never thought of making my own, but we have a few apple trees over here, @shirls - could you post a quick how-to for making ACV?
I could also look it up online, but if you’ve already been successful and don’t mind sharing, I’d love to know your method!
We mostly just eat the apples or occasionally make juice and dehydrate some, but most fall and are eaten by our chickens. They will gorge themselves until they’re apple-drunk!

Hi Morgan, more than happy to share this recipe, it's so simple and there are a lot of more complicated ones on-line. Just hope I can attach the document for you, no, can't do that, can I e-mail it to you if you PM me with your e-mail address?
