Marianne, have you noticed a change in any of your birdies since feeding this?
I certainly have with Ben, he will be 8 years old in January, and had become a bit lazy, not flying very much and sitting about.
Since I started them both on the FFM he has become more lively, more vocal, and flying a bit more The other night he was doing twirls and hanging upside down on the boing, I haven't seen this sort of behaviour in him in such a long time.

To be honest I hadn't noticed, but as I have more birds it's more tricky to notice different behaviours.
They're certainly eating it though. I hope Blithe doesn't miss his oats too much!

I don't know if it's minus the groats that's making the difference.
I will weigh them both this weekend.

I have the johnson and jeff which doesn't have groats, but I will bear the finch one in mind when I next need to order.. maybe it will be Max on speed, lol

No, he has a lot of down time. Today though heโs very busy. Maybe the ACV is helping him

That is a great result, jellybean. . Hopefully Max will be a trimmer elderly gent when you get him onto the scales. Even if not, he must obviously be feeling good to have some of his zing back.

Thanks Hezz. It's BEN though, but I'll let you off, too many forum budgies ๐

I think Hezz was thinking of ffiscool's Max, jellybean But I am glad that Ben is a lot more lively, I hope it is the seed helping him. Daisy could do with losing a bit of weight, she's looking very tubby, it's odd as I don't see her eating that much. I guess it's lack of activity.

Sorry, JB!! . I always think of Ben and Max still, they went together like salt and pepper in my mind, with Sexy Sam as a third, even though if I stop to think I know that is not the case. You may be right, Marianne Marlow; that might have been what confused my poor tired old brain.

Yes they did Hezz, and that bond will never be replicated in any other bird as far as Ben is concerned. Thank you for the lovely comments ๐

Years ago, I found that ever since I removed groats from the seed mix I found a difference. My pudgy boy Murph used to pick them out and eat only those, so I soon put a stop to that!

Pippin likes to ruminate on a groat. If I bought a very small quantity separate I'd have a brilliant bribe for him! Looking forward to starting on the finch mix when I next need to buy seed.
