I’m feeling mean right now too keeping my linnie hen from laying!
Limiting produce to only three days a week, covered cage for only ten hours of daylight, bringing her and her mate outside in their cage together daily, rearranging the cage every few days, and for a while I separated them at night because during the day they contact call almost constantly and my house isn’t big enough for them not to hear each other!
She went broody when we had fires nearby and I couldn’t bring them outside for a while. Preventing broodiness is easier than snapping a hen out of it, and it isn’t forever!
