Hezz That was my thought regarding variety, and Munchy has a bit of a lipoma. I hate watching them eat the pellets sometimes, because they occasionally look like they're choking them down. :/ At least they're keen to eat their veggies on work days though. And when I'm home I ignore Pippin yelling for more dry food until he's given in and eaten some of the fresh. Seems mean and his yelling is the most annoying sound I've heard regularly, but he needs to learn that there is food available. (He's like the cat about her biscuits) They're also far more eager to engage with us when there's the prospect of a seed treat like millet or a nutriberry with the humans, too. But yeah, I don't think pellets are any good for weight loss. A bird that overeats pellets is still going to get fat. But at least there might be some vitamins that they miss from other sources.

Agreed. I’m sure Misty’s initial weight loss was from less seed, when I first started to measure it out, then it started to go back up again and has now plateaued out. He certainly eats more of the pellets than Spyro does.
