Part of my brain is still waiting for this to be some sort of April Fools but the date's wrong. 🤣

Definitely not a joke. . I, too, have known for quite some time, but not through the forum directly. I had suspicions and asked outright.

So if we don't hear from Shirls for a bit of time, can we ask samwiseg how she is and visa versa? I wonder if this is the only "family pair" we have on the forum. Anybody else want to "fess-up"? Of course!!!

Part of my brain is still waiting for this to be some sort of April Fools but the date's wrong. 🤣 Nope, is all true! Reason we did this was because I was a member before my mum was and I wanted her to make her way as an individual on here and people to like her in her own right if that makes sense?

Ok mum has asked me to let you know she's fine but has done quite a bit of damage it would seem Basically, we found out mum has got a "proximal humerus fracture" which means she's shattered her shoulder. A typical injury for someone her age. She's come away with a better sling than she was given and told providing she heals well and exercises her lower arm gently she won't need a replacement shoulder joint which is a very serious operation. She's not too bad with the pain so looks like she's going to be ok (Thank goodness) but it will be a slow recovery of 6 months with physio. Thank you all for your kind thoughts. She will be online again but it will be slow going!

Oh, not great, but everything crossed it heals well. You forget how much you rely on even a finger say, until you damage something.
I hope that with gentle exercise that it’s not too painful either
