Good luck with it Shirls. The hard work will hopefully pay off and give you a good degree of movement back.

You take it easy Shirls, take things at your own pace. I hope the exercises help.

Thank you suesbird for the link you sent in ffiscools thread. I have another physio appt at the end of January, so will see what he says. My main problem is reaching to the side at the moment. Looks like your link thing would help this. Thanks again.

Good to hear you are continuing to improve - it just takes time and persistent.

Fingers crossed for you here, Shirls. Hoping the side reach rights itself with your persistence. You make me feel I should get some physio for mine as well. They charge like a wounded bull, though.

Shirls it takes the weight off your arm and you can do sideways with it to, an extra inch of movement every few days really helps. Just takes time.

Could you maybe get referred through your GP Hezz?

Could you maybe get referred through your GP Hezz? It still isn’t covered unless you have the appropriate health care cover or have a health care card. Apparently not all issues are covered though our Medicare. The problem comes and goes, sometimes it is good and then suddenly it won’t be again for a while. And so I put up with it …

Is it something you could research on-line, the correct exercises to do for your type of problem Hezz? I know a face to face consult would be better of course.

Sorry to have hijacked your thread a little, Shirls, your idea would be a good one if I knew what the problem was! It isn’t an injury per se; it got cold during the night while sleeping on the other shoulder, and “froze” in this new position. But I will have another look on-line and see if I can find anything that might help, thank you. . I did have a quick look once before, but nothing in depth.

I can recommend Voltarol Imulgel for Pain if you suffer with pain and not just movement. I have it for sciatica and we have just recently found that it does wonders for the pain that Sam suffers in her shoulder. No worries hi-jacking my thread, Hezz anything to help!!! Something like this, apparently you get Voltarol for different complaints (obviously). www.voltarol.co.uk/products/osteoarthritis-pain-relief-gel/

Thanks, Shirls. I have used this previously, I think must have been my knee, but haven’t used anything on my shoulder. Time to have a rethink and not just put up, I think.

I'm glad to say it is Shirls, thanks to you. I sent a picture of it to my sister yesterday too.
