It's good to hear that you're back home, I'm sure Max is happy too. Your recovery starts now.

I feel not great today but I’m sure still lack of sleep. Was at my brother as we did Xmas lunch as didn’t do it Boxing Day. I had lunch but not that hungry. My sats have improved a bit but still low. I’ve written a letter to my gp and said I’d not been given anti b or steroids etc. I came back early. Have attached discharge notes and put through their letter box.
Phoned private health but my doc has to fill out a questionnaire and they’ll approve or not. I’ll ring and get appt anyway with private.
Poor Max, having me out again today. But I just played for a while with him, so he’s ok.

Didn't they give you steroids then? If you have hypersensitivity pneumonitis they should have as it's all about it causing inflammation and getting that down with steroids.

I had them in there on Saturday and Sunday. They said I don’t need them now - whole thing odd
This is just pneumonitis which is any inflammation of lungs. I googled and there is a diff between that and HP which is specific allergies.
Hopefully my health company will see that, I didn’t mention that to them re HP as this is from covid and HP was nearly 6 years ago.

Oh ffiscool, so sorry to hear you have had such a rough time. I'm glad you are home so that you can rest and start to heal but it's no wonder you are stressed about your treatment. I hope your GP is able to follow up quickly to make sure you get the required treatment without any more delays. Max must be relieved that you are home. I'm sure that he's enjoying his playtime with mum. Take care and hope you are starting to feel better. Sending hugs x

Thank you. Max did indeed and went to bed quickly tonight.
Yes, I hope the form is done quickly so at least I’ll know if approved or not etc for private
I hadn’t realised covid can stay with you for up to 90 days and some still test positive until that time on a pcr. This should surely be publicised as it must mean that’s also why so much spread

No, you can test positive but aren't infectious or unwell. Unless you're reinfected, but then you'd test positive anyway.

Earliest appt I can get is Friday week. There might be an earlier one on Tuesday at another hospital, but couldn’t get through. Will try later

Thank you. I’ve left it where it is, as I need papers back from gp.
If I’m the same tmrw, where my cough is more of a cough, I’ll try for next Tuesday. The only thing about that, it’s not that near and an evening appt. Whereas if I’m ok to hold out until the Friday, that’s a morning, meaning I can have the scan on the same day etc
Will see if I hear from my gp too
