Now having only two budgies that would last me quite a long time, how would I store it? I know that the oil will help naturally preserve it also. You should make as smaller quantity as possible. Getting fresh seeds every often is good. The seed mix can be stored in an air tight jar. I mix a little garlic powder and ginger powder which prevents possible bug infestation. Buying individual seeds is always tricky. Always buy from a place with clean and healthy look. See how the 20 KG bags are stored. There shouldn't be any dirt or dampness around the bags. Always check the seeds to make sure that there is no bug infestations. I always enter my wrist in the seed bags to see if the seed are dusty.
