Chocobo has hit 80g in weight and is now spending a chunk of her day in her flower pot. She is nowhere near as active as usual, as has happened before when she's been eggy.
I believe the New Year will be seen-in with eggs this year!

Good Morning and Happy New Year! (2023 is really dragging though, dontcha think?) As expected, Chocobo saw the New Year in with an egg, laid in her flowerpot nest. She seems uninterested in it though. She spent the night in her nest but since emerging this morning hasn't really returned there. She's doing most of the chocobo things that she normally does. Here we see Chocobo holding court, with Herman rubbing his head against her wing with obvious pleasure:   I've set some seed and apple near her nest as she was looking a little less than her usual ultra-mobile self last night ... I needn't have worried though as she seems quite able to get around this morning.  I have at least another four-six weeks of special measures, based upon previous experience. At least she hasn't tunnelled into the new sofa! |

Its wonderful that you monitor her weight and activity so you can judge when the eggs might come and then keep an eye on her health.

Four eggs now. Currently the chocobo is in her old cage, emptying out her food bowls, Iris-style. Good move, Chocobo! I'll be out now for a few hours, you'll need to consider where your seeds are going to come from  |

Five eggs today! I'm seeing a fair bit less of Chocobo now, she just pops out for food and water now.
Edit: Accompanied by Finarfin, of course.
