Once he has fully matured into โmiddle ageโ I would be confident that you can have the best of Buddy without the hormones. ๐ I find my relationships with each individual bird is not a static thing, but constantly growing. For example, nearly 12 months later, but with a lot of upheaval and very little routine, Bunji happily stepped onto my hand to come out of his cage, yesterday. (They are asked to be patient and wait their turn, not rush out into a possibly dangerous situation) That is rather than try to escape past me. Iโm still working on him to sit long enough for a kiss on the belly on the way out.

You are so right, Hezz! After keeping an eye on Tweetie Pie, Buddy came and perched on my arm for a minute. Then, a couple days later he perched on my arm and kissed my thumbnail without any other 'awesomeness'! Yesterday Buddy came to me a few times and perched calmly. At one point, both were on my head. Tweetie Pie perched on my chair while Buddy was on my arm. Hoping and anticipating when TP will sit on my arm!
