Hi OK Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I tend to try to speak for the birds. their welfare is No1 with me. I don't mean or want to offend anybody.. Yours B.J. No harm done..... The little meep meeps.....(we are still working on names) are coming along with leaps and bounds.....they have discovered their cucumber and apple and seem to enjoy them....Mrs. is still having a great time using the millet as a punching bag....and Mr. is so cute....he jumps up on his box and stands as tall as he can and flaps his wings and then sits there looking at me as if to say "what can you do".....but they are starting to get use to us....they will now come to the front of the cage and see what I have brought them.....later today they will have a go in the outside flight of the aviary as long as the weather stays sunny....we did not get an egg yesterday but I have ordered some calcium for their water.....they are on Garvo quailmixture mixed with a small amount of chickfeed as that is what they were on when we got them and I did not want to change their diet suddenly....

They are so amusing:) I thought they would be quite boring to watch when I first got my quail but was amazed at their funny antics. It sounds like your pair are going to have a great home with you

Haha, that's so sweet! I like to name mine in pairs: Bo and Peep, Cocoa and Puffs. The two oddballs are the chicks I've hatched, Bumblebee and Scooter

Hi, Once again I must apologise. I keep forgetting that unlike
some Fanciers. All the birds I've ever kept were hand tame.
even my breeders in the aviaries. inc my CPQ's. Which spent
their day time leisure in a large outdoor pen. My fault for not
giving enough info with my Post's. Yours B.J.

Hi B J . I reckon the reason we are all here on this forum is because we all care about the welfare of our birds. All our birds come from different back grounds, and have different living circumstances, but the main thing is that we all offer what we can from what we've learnt from our experiences. Alot of the time as you will know you have to experiment a bit and play it by ear as things don't always go 'by the book' LOL, you summed up that nicely in your saying. NOTHING IS CERTAIN ABOUT BIRDS........
