Wrapping some of the thinner branches will work well. Wrap the rope down the "trunk" as well to give the thin branch a bit more stability. Roughness in the perches is good - as you say they walk and land on naturally rough surfaces. It helps toughen the skin on their feet, leaving them less likely to have such problems as bumblefoot in the future, but still leave them some smoother perches as well. Variety is the aim.

Hezz Since you have already used jute ropes, could you please guide me, if all of the following jute ropes are okay to use? There's a thick untreated natural dark brown jute rope, a braided thick jute rope and a flat braided jute rope. The braided ones are a bit costly. If the natural brown one doesn't work, then I will get the braided thick rope again..

Well, I actually haven't used jute myself - sisal is easier for me to get - but I'm immediately drawn to the darker brown rope. It looks less refined to me, and looks to still be its natural colour. The more pale rope has probably been through some treatment to make it look more pleasing, whether that is bleaching or something else, I don't know.

That would work perfectly well for me, coz that's easily available and affordable. Sisal isn't available at my place. Thank you for the input 🤗

I didn't use it since it was too harsh for my fingers..and I got to know it later that it wasn't Jute.. I thought it's low quality jute! My hubby didn't know anything.. lol. Seriously, that's why you need mom or mom-in-law in everything you do! 😅 We managed to go to a shop where people speak Hindi or English. We cannot understand the local language at this place. We got the thick jute rope, much affordable and sturdy than the one I got online.
