I understand the anxiety and I also go through phases of feeling like I am not good enough for them. It just means we care I guess! You're not a prat!! Ah yes, they don't like rustling do they... and sellotape!! Or velcro... that has to be very carefully & slowly prised apart.

I’m binge watching Stargate SG1 and the boys seem ok with the noise although I do have the iPad sound lower than usual. I watch Stargate SG1 with Dexter too. I didn't watch it when it was new but have been catching up with it over the past few months. Dexter isn't bothered by loud noises on the TV. He's more put out if it's too quiet and serious - if it's just people talking - because it isn't noisy and exciting enough. He's more scared of objects, including different foods. A couple of weeks back he was scared of sweet corn and this evenin I put the egg food box too close to his cage which put him on red alert and he wouldn't go back in his cage until I moved it!
I'm glad the celery wasn't scary

Loki is scared of horses on TV (just had to add that) and hisses at me if I watch a bird video.

Now that is an unusual one! I wonder what it is, the neighing perhaps?! Loki is scared of horses on TV (just had to add that) and hisses at me if I watch a bird video.

No, not their sounds, just they are usually moving very fast, and camera-persons ( ) do like to take close-ups and often with them running towards the camera so he thinks they are going to get him I suppose. Planes are the same.

I don't know why my Flock is triggered by some noises but not others. I drop a metal food bowl on the kitchen floor, they don't seem to notice the almighty din. I crush a plastic bottle though and it's head-for-the-hills time. Lol I understand completely, although with the boys it seems to be rustling and opening a bottle of something fizzy. mind you anything I drop is a dangerous creature too, doesn’t help that with a tremor I often drop silly things !

I'm glad the celery wasn't scary My boys will chatter over people talking, bit of a pain on a zoom meeting !, and when it goes quiet the chirrup a bit then settle down…until they decide it is too quiet and then they let rip ! I’m loving SG1 all over again, the first time I watched it had a bit of a crush on T’ealc and Daniel Jackson 😆😆

And sneezes! Apparently mine aren’t scary but others are panic material.

I'm half way through season 5, and really enjoying it. It's fun watching 20 year old TV shows for the first time, and SG1 stands up really well. Last year I watched Farscape which is another show I missed at the time.
Dexter goes silent when it is quiet as obviously it's a dangerous situation. Even if the TV is on and I'm concentrating on something and I'm quiet and sitting still, he goes into scared mode. So I start singing and chatting to him and get up and dance about, or wave my arms about where I'm sitting and he'll start singing and playing again.
Hezz Dexter is usually scared of sneezes too, but he amazed me the other day by staying sitting with me while I sneezed 5 times in a row. He did look a bit scared but he stayed put!
