Thank you, Criswell. I was genuinely concerned over my state of mind but feel re-assured now!

Northern parrots has toys made of balsa but no plain balsa to buy. And amazon has some balsa marketed for birds that are very over priced.

There's a local place here that sells modelling supplies, including balsa. I will need to check it out I think but the set-up is a bit weird. It's a gloomy-looking private residence with a sign out the front and it is set back behind some trees. Looks like a trap to me!

Make sure someone knows where you are going before you go in loz. Or better still take back up with you.

Doesn't a whitefaced green look odd Apart from that, those budgies look just like Squeak when she's faced with the balsawood menace.

Maybe it objected to my location, although the site did make a point of “posting all over the world”. And now the link is not opening for me.

Doesn't a whitefaced green look odd As a side-note and nothing to do with balsa, “they” are breeding something similar in Aus, called a white-cap. Apparently it is an Aus-only mutation so far, just like the almost-all black are not able to be brought in as yet. It seems that they come from the yellow-faced lines, and still retain some yellow lower in the face feathers.

That is interesting HezzAs long as the budgies are healthy, I don't care what they look like (within reason!)
