hi allan, its also a shame that breeders have to think this way and be wiery of people they come across in the hobby,i guess theres a small few that want to spoil it for others

If someone rings and wants to visit/buy birds who i don't know,i ALWAYS make excuses and ask for a LANDLINE number to ring them back on,if they can't supply one and only give a mobile number, they can talk all day if they want to,but don't get to visit or my address, remember landlines can be traced mobiles can't.

another good post by barrie. we would love a mentor so we could get advice or help from but in our area we havent found any breeders or clubs to turn to ask. since joining the forum we have a lifeline being a newbe your always worrying if what you are doing is correct because one wrong move & you may endanger the budgie.

theres another side to the coin there are those who pretend to be helping you / make friends only try selling you their reject experimental stock . I know of one chap who has bred a shed full of birds based on stock he bought assured that they were the right blood even though visually they werent anything to write home about what hes bred are even worse than the parents and he knows it .

I am sure there are a lot of genuine people out there willing and able to help its the few unscrupulous beggers who sense a profit that get me wound up
