I am a stately, dignified bird who does not have time to comment about this right now.
- Pepper the Cockatiel
I sat on Azalea's phone and took a picture of my rear end.
- Kona the Cockatiel

Dear Diary
The human has been at it again. Is there no way he could replenish the food & water in my bowls without getting so darned close to my cage? It's not a lot to ask. And again with the apple & cavolo nero today. Is he incapable of taking a hint? Just stop it.
As if that weren't enough, the maniac has stuck a cuttlefish bone inside my cage - if he wants to gnaw on one of these, why doesn't he install it in *his* cage? Why involve me? And to add insult to injury, he has attached a short length of sisal rope to the roof of my cage and it now dangles down into my living space in a very threatening manner. Why? What's it for? Pfft. Nutter.
I did manage to redress that balance a little and hiss at him. He's now back in his place, a few feet away from me, which is only right.
Excuse me, I am just going to gnaw on some cuttle bone that's appeared in my cage. Until later, so long ...

Excuse me, I am just going to gnaw on some cuttle bone that's appeared in my cage. Until later, so long ... Ahha the cuttlefish, quite a delicacy along with something pink called an Iodine bar that we like to nibble. Our human decided to give us apple today, she even ate some herself, I(Sam) licked it and decided it was not for me, Ollie copied me a little later and decided the same but it won’t stop her putting some in the cage, she does it with other foods too…we just look at it and ignore it. She has now given us some broccoli, it’s a big green thing and there are little buds on the top that are delicious. We like, to stand on it and argue sometimes it it is soooo yumptious that we do enjoy it. Hang on the human wants to talk to you. Good afternoon Coco, I hope you are settling in well with Loz, he will make sure you are very happy with him and the budgies…yes budgies, they can be a bit noisy but I am sure you will put them in their place when you get your voice back, do try the little it’s of food I. Am sure you will find something you like soon.

I thought you might like a pic of me looking down at the entirely captivated human who was gazing up adoringly at me. He looked so devoted, I didn't even hiss at him. Not then, anyway. Here I am this morning, taking an interest once again in preening & personal appearance. Feeling a little better about myself now. This new place might not be the Pit of Hell after all. I did fix the human a look though, him and his bloody camera. 1drv.ms/v/s!AnyoyWilEZ_Xh-IlbzDuVIoGQR2_Fg?e=nqU4fU

She definitely loves her mirror-buddy, what would happen if you hung another mirror and perch outside the cage, so she could see the mirror? One thing that struck me about yesterday's video was how hand tame the cockatiel was already, things might move on quite quickly once Coco figures that you are not a threat!

Impudent human! Nevertheless oldbuddy , I have related your ideas to my human and here is his response, such as it is. Meh. He clearly has no idea what he's doing and it's not up to me to help him. Silly human.

So the human's evil plan has been revealed. The sisal rope he suspended from my ceiling a day or two ago now holds the swing that I had sensibly placed against the back of the cage. It's just hanging there in mid-air, no use to bird or beast. I hope he adjusts the height, it's too low but obviously he must do so without approaching the cage. I confess, I did hiss at the poor hapless human something terrible when his hands were in the cage but he entirely deserved it for his disrespect and impudence.

Ohhh you poor girl, you see woman to woman the clip on the swing should be attached to the roof of the cage shouldn’t it, highest safest spot for roosting and having a good old swing. You never know he may get it eventually, don’t give up hope coco 😂

But skysmum, if he attaches the clip direct to the ceiling, I'll never be able to reach the swing as it will be too high. I refuse to jump anywhere, least of all at the behest of the human!

Dear Diary
The Human changed my water just now. I couldn't be bothered to hiss at him.
At least he's finally stopped fiddling with fixtures in my cage. At last.

Dear Diary The human continues to invade my privacy. It's so frequent now I can barely be bothered to hiss at him, although I do when he gets way too close. There's this "Peek-a-boo, Night-night" ritual he seems to need every evening. I find it easiest just to indulge him. This morning I couldn't even have breakfast in peace: For some reason, he videoed me chewing on the cuttlebone and feeding. I try to ignore him or at least, not encourage him. 1drv.ms/v/s!AnyoyWilEZ_Xh-I0iZ5G_ESO1SS2zw?e=MKKNSX1drv.ms/v/s!AnyoyWilEZ_Xh-I1sKzH57Q2Jq-F3w?e=sR7onG1drv.ms/v/s!AnyoyWilEZ_Xh-I2CVuEaAN8ISTZyw?e=nhblO1Just now he stuck some cavolo nero, apple and spinach to the walls of my apartment. Why doesn't he use his fridge like a normal person? I gave him a little hiss, a token effort, to remind him of how fierce I am. I can't let him get over-confident. Anyway, I continue to watch him carefully while his back is turned. He probably isn't even aware of that. Bye for now.
