Hello all I got a budgie couple of days ago and didn't relise till I got home it only has one leg and a stump, he seems fine flying about and perching fine he even got a girlfriend lol just wonderd will be be able to live a normal life and everything, has anyone else Eva experienced this?

Should have gone to Specsavers ......... sorry couldn't resist that....... how could you buy a budgie with one leg ......and not see it .. i hope it does well........ but i would return it...to the shop...

I got it from an auctiondo carnt return it, it was in a cage with a hen, it stands on the perch normal and everything I only noticed it when it was climbing the cage lol

It's life should be just as fulfilled as any other, Carl. They seem to adjust very easily - yours in all probability was born that way and doesn't know any different.

Just watching the picture, it looks like he is in the sleeping mode when they perch on one leg only.
