Feel like i haven't been around for ages (although its only been a weekish) Efie had his last meds and seems to be OK...He is a lot more talkative and has also learned to go and play with his toy when i say "wheres Elfie's toy" which is very sweet...He comes out every day and now does around 4-5 laps of the lounge then settles on his fave perch...He is at present sitting on the computer which i put him on and he seems to like it!!....I think though since having to give him his meds he has taken a step backwards with step up in his cage...he basically just runs over my finger and i know its prob not the right thing to do but at the mo i have been bringing him out of the cage on his perch but once out he steps up and down with out a worry!??...So i think i will have to start again and do lots of step ups in his cage so he trusts me in there again..Any opinions on this? ??

He's obviously cautious of being grabbed while in his cage for his meds!
I'm sure he'll learn to trust your hand in the cage again in time. Little steps.

Great news, Moogie, and yeah, Elfie is both having a little sulk and a bit cautious about being caught every time you go near. Don't back off though, even if he just stays on for a few seconds, and you don't grab at him, he will start to realise you are NOT the big bad wolf he was thinking you were. He will get over it and you will be back where you were before in no time. Yes lots of step-ups in the cage will get his confidence in you back (sorry, I misread your post a little). Would love to see some recent photos of the little tyke - or is he just far too energetic to sit still for photos now???
