Hello and welcome to Aprils' Budgerigar of the Month contest! I am Rachael, your contest organiser.
The contest begins today and you can submit your entries to me by messaging me on the forum or submitting your entry by email to rachaelkellett@hotmail.com
All entries must be submitted to me by no later than midnight on Wednesday 25th April.
Now like last month from the 26th April we will have voting polls for all the entries where you get to vote for your favourite ;D When the voting polls have closed we will have a special judge to choose the overall winner. So you all still get to have your say on who goes through to the final.
Now onto the boring RULES part ;D
Only one entry is allowed per member so make your choice carefully as once your entry has been recieved and added to the contest entries thread then it cannot be exchanged.
Photographs entered must be of budgerigars and be of good quality, which means no unfocused, blurry, or grainy shots. Other species of birds may be allowed in the photo as long as the budgerigar is the main focus.
Each month there will be a theme so any entry that the contest organiser does not feel matches the theme will not be accepted. If, for any reason, you disagree with the organisers decision then another member will be brought in to give a second opinion although I doubt that will ever be needed
Your entry must not have any enhancements such as sparkly emoticons, exposure correcting, or text, although cropping within reason will be allowed.
The winner of this months contest will get to choose the theme for the May contest.
Now the winner of Marchs' contest was the handsome Boo and his owner Stace ;D Here is the winning photograph:

Now I am really excited to announce the prize this month as the sponsor is....*drum roll please!* ME!!!
I am hoping to open an online bird toy shop very soon but before I do that I wanted to offer a few of my own creations as prizes for the contest. I am offering three toys from the brand new Ozzie's Bird Toys!
*EDIT* You can now visit Ozzie's Bird Toys on facebook at www.facebook.com/OzziesBirdToys
Comfy Fleecey swing!
Rainbow Rattle!
Mini Shreddable!
Please note that the toys don't come with the quick link or pear links to hang them with as I don't currently have any but I'm sure whoever wins will have some at home they can use
One small thing though is that if the winner is not in the U.K then I am afraid I will be unable to post the prize to them at my cost as it would be quite expensive. If a non-UK member does win then they have the choice of either deciding to pay the postage costs themselves or they can choose to give the prize to another entrant who does live in the UK. I don't want to discourage anyone in other countries from entering which is why I have given these options ;D So no excuse for not entering
Now as our winner last month Boo and Stace get to choose the theme for April. Stace has discussed this with Boo and have decided on...
Fabulous feathers - anything feathery
A nice, lovely theme, perfect for budgies ;D
