Hi can ivermectin 0.1 % for ornamental birds ok for cockatiels ? Also how many drops for Finches Canary Budgie Cockatiel Thanks

0.1% requires one drop on the back of the neck twice a year

Ah ok so I gotta treat them for 3 weeks then. As one or 2 in my aviary have it just a tiny spec of it tho

If they have scaly then follow the instructions , all the aviary and contents must be washed out using F10SC or VANODINE v18 or it will return

If they have scaly then follow the instructions , all the aviary and contents must be washed out using F10SC or VANODINE v18 or it will return barrie iv been told to leave it.... till the last week of treatment to use the f10sc ...as its best to wait till the budgies .....are cured so they dont re infect it.....so thats what im doing ... .

It is right. There are two dosages with Ivermectin. Preventive: One drop every six months. Treatment: Check the label. Normally one drop every week for three weeks. And as Barrie said that the whole budgie setup should be disinfected.

I use that one too - the two new budgies I brought from an avery had air sac mites so treating all my budgies for 3 weeks - one small drop on the back of the neck and to stop them getting re-infected I have been disinfecting all the water bottles and feeders every morning. Seems to have worked
