Hi Robert. Great to hear from you, thanks for the update. So sorry to hear that PoPo has PBFD. Good news on the new home though

The move is over thank god. This was the hardest move I've ever had in my life. Things are back to normal pace now. PJ and PoPo seem to really love the new place, it's so much larger and brighter than our old apartment. PoPo seems to be doing much better since we've been giving them the Jesus Juice. She/He is singing for the first time in a long time, I think PoPo was depressed to be honest. I'm glad that they are both drinking the medicine because even though PJ doesn't seem to show signs of the desease I'm sure he must have it as well since they have been together since the pet store. Logically I know that I should sepperate them but it just seems cruel to do that to them at this point. A bit like not kissing your wife with a cold, I'll take the cold anyday. PoPo's feathers are growing in a little better this time and her/his flight path is on a downwards slope it's a little better than before. I still don't know what sex PoPo is, I see a lot of purple and blue in there but it's still so light it's hard to tell. PJ is starting to show lighter rings around his eyes and is molting again but all the feathers that come out are healthy with no malformations or blood spots. Here is a pic of today's sunset And a tour of our place I made for the family

What an excellent tour host you are. That's a pretty big apartment for Tokyo. Well done.
And your birds look so incredibly cute, looking at you all the way around the room. Little darlings, huh.
By the way, did you know that the word fanny has a completely different meaning in these parts, as compared with the US?

By the way, did you know that the word fanny has a completely different meaning in these parts, as compared with the US? What does it mean? Never mind, just googled it. Imagine that. Back a few years ago it was easy to tell American tourists because they loved their fanny bags.

I've been so busy after the move that I haven't much time to post but I've been reading a little everyday. Read a thread from a person who's husband sadly stepped on their bird and was reminded of when I stepped on PJ taking out all his tail feathers. A few more cm and I would have been in the same boat. Sadly our new apartment is having a lot of work done on it for the next month so with all the workmen on our balcony I'm keeping the curtains closed. My wife wants me to leave them open for the birds but there are literally people right on the other side. I've redone their playtree to make it a little more accessable for PoPo since she can't fly and we made a new one as well with legs all up it's length so PoPo can climb up from the bottom. They seem to like it. We got another month's supply of the Jesus Juice for their desease. We're told to not go back to the vets till PoPo's feathers are all in and aligned but it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon so till then they sent her medicine to us. $60 for a months worth. Here they are on the new tree

Always a pleasure to hear about your sweet little birds. What a nice idea with the climbing tree. Aren't they lucky they found such a loving home.

You know....I think you're right. lol. Thanks. Having a crawler sure does teach you a lot about their unique needs. PoPo can still fall slow enough to not hurt herself (she thinks it's flying) so as long as she can get up she finds a way to get down with no problem usually. She's catching on though because she is starting to aim for the couch and pillows and such for soft landings.

I was going to wait for a change in PoPo's health till I made an update but since other changes have been observed I thought I would do one now. First both birds are doing well considering. PoPo still loses her feathers and can't fly but I've made ladders for her to get around on. She seems like a happy bird and has even put on a little weight. PJ is so much easier to have around now, the biting is almost gone and believe it or not he lets us know when it's time for bed. Instead of trying to trick him into the cage at night he either hopes in himself and if not all we have to do is bring him to the door and he goes right in. I still think he's favorite hobby is to fly over and leave a little turd on me, happens about a dozen times a day. Days with fresh food I try to stay away from him. PJ is also loving his little stuffed toy we call "Dutchy" because he dry humps it all day long which is great because he's leaving PoPo alone more to be with us. We have to find a replacement soon though because it's getting kind of dirty.

I do think we need a picture of Dutchy.
They look super, Robert. Even PoPo's feathers don't seem too bad. I thought they would look worse somehow. PJ looks like a little tearaway, and I should know - I have one of those too.
Isn't it great when they grow up and learn to take themselves off to bed.

Here's Dutchy. PJ just hops on it's back, spreads his wings around it and does his thing. Dutchy is actually a squeaky toy so it sounds like somebody is sending morse code all day long Bed time is so easy now and it happened like over night, no training on our part. He'll even complain if we're late. Amazing.

What a good boy PJ is. You're lucky he has Duchy and not your feet like my Dumpling!
