I am thinking of getting one for the fiends. Just wanted reviews/opinions. I need it to have the horizontal bars, I noticed some models have the vertical. Technical specifications: Width of Cage (without seed catcher) - 96cm (38”) Total Depth - 58cm (23”) Total Height (with stand) - 167cm (66”) Inside Height (without stand) - 101cm (40”) Bar spacing 15mm

It's a beautiful cage. We have a similar here but for bigger parrots only.

It looks like a great cage, Marianne. How many of them do you reckon could sleep in there?

I am thinking 6 Hezz. Hector and Abbie will keep their own cage - Hector is very protective of Abbie and it would cause fights to put them all together at night. As you know, they are out all day long. It's a pretty big cage..

This cage looks excellent. Fantastic big door. Gym up top. Budgie bar spacing. Is that 5 feeding stations? Have you found one for a reasonable price?

Yes price can be an issue, especially in UK.

I have found it for £161.99. I'll have to call them to make sure it's in stock and that they have the one with horizontal bars though..

Thanks Stace but those are all the smaller ones. There is a 1, 11 and 111 model.

Was the latest Madeira not the one that 'Thomas (now banned)' got? I seem to remember a thread on that old forum we used when he got it with lots of piccies and info? Apologies if I am out of line Marianne

My Montana Mini San Diego takes 6 big budgies (will expain later why I now have 6) but its only fault (as far as I am concerned) is that the sides are vertical barred - I really like that new Montana Madeira, but at the time I bought my Mini San Diego the model of Madeira also had vertical sides.
