Oh, Brian! It is indeed a sad day for you. Hugs from me too, I am not sure I would have had the strength to do what you have done. I just can't imagine you without a budgie or two flying out of your hair, so you are going to have to soften Steph up on the idea of one or two in the house. You would still be able to travel - much easier to find someone to look after a couple of budgies, rather than an aviary full.

Oh Brian. It must feel like you've lost a part of you. I'm glad you have found them a good new home. If the birds are happy and well cared for in their new place, all is well.
I too hope you drop in to pass on your sage advice on here from time to time.

I couldn't imagine not having any birds at all Brian, I hope Stephanie can be "gently encouraged" to have a couple in the house....

Sorry to hear you have had to give up your budgies Brian. I've no idea what that is like for you - it's bad enough when you only have one and lose it! I do hope you can get a couple to live in the house with you, there's usually a solution to be found for times when you're away! And please do stay on the forum, you have a lot of valuable experience we can all benefit from.

Feel a bit better today, have disconnected the flight from the aviary and started to clean it up for the new owner, nice people who live about 5 miles away, I would be able to visit them, thanks serz.........
