Sausage and Betty? How on earth did you come up with Sausage and Betty??? ;D ;D They have a whopping great beak as a baby don't they? And then it seems to become more pigeon-like as they mature. They look nothing like what they will end up as. Gaile, are you a registered wild-life carer? Or people just know, and bring them to you?

Its getting like that Hezz x My friend that brought them, her nick name is Betty Boo and hubby who is as mad as a hatter, shout sausage all the time ( no real reason) hence the names! Sorry to say that Betty died in the night but Sausage ok for now!!!

I wonder what it is, that prevents them from thriving?? i think its the mums milk... well the lack off it .... if you had the mum there they should be fine ...but as soon as you let them out the first time they would fly off but they wouldn't come back...no matter how long you keep them you cant domesticate them.... well that's what iv been told ....

Feeding Sausage with a baby bottle and a finger from a rubber glove over the cut down teat!!! I researched on the internet!!!! It looks very bizarre but it works really well. Better than the syringe!!! fuuulllll Sausage !!!
