Hi everyone,
So it seems death is in the air, and is just wanting to wreak havoc. It has taken my little Hulk all too soon.
We took them outside in the aviary yesterday and he was enjoying his time flying around and following his daddy everywhere...when suddenly I saw him trying to vomit and perching next to me. My birds are tame, but not to the point they will stop flying in the aviary just to sit next to me-nuh-uh. I took him in and kept him warm, provided G.A. and I just had this sinking feeling that he wasn't going to last the night. I told Jim I didn't think little Hulk would make it. I was right, between 4am and 6am he passed.
Poor little guy. His sister Falcon is also sick, and no idea why, although she seems to be getting a bit better.
It seems that every time I put them out in the aviary, one or more get sick almost immediately after. And I do not know why. It cannot just be coincidence...
Here's to you HULK, and say hello to your sister Hercules too!
Here's a pic of Hulk, the gentle green mini Hulk Here's a pic of Hulk and his sister Hercules dehulling seeds for the first time.

We need to be able to let people have some Triple C its an australlian product thats like a triple antibiotic with other things in it not worth everyone having but if someone can mail enough to save a bird might be worth thinking about

im very very sorry to here this ... .. how long have there food been in the aviary ... and can you see any mouse dropings Hi Mick, Thanks for your response. The weird thing is, there was no food, I had cleaned out the aviary with vinegar, water, even had spread salt around the outside edges of the aviary building. They had no been inside for about a month since my last 3 budgies escaped. I had cleaned out the last month's dropping with what was suggested on this forum...I am so...much in shock. Honestly, the original point of the having the aviary was so they could enjoy the outdoors, but every single time one or more get sick and I am pulling out my head hairs trying to figure it out. Can a spider bite kill them? I saw a small spider outside the aviary after I took them all out again.. So sad. In the prime of life.

Rest in Peace, sweet little Hulk. He is with his sister Hercules now, watching over you and Falcon, talking about the good life they had with you. They leave us much too soon. My best thoughts for Falcon's speedy recovery. Hugs to you, Nani.

What a sweet little fellow Hulk seems to have been. So sorry you are having such bad luck with the aviary, Nani, so very sorry young Hulk didn't get to enjoy his adulthood. What can it be in the aviary? What is making your birds sick??? I hope you find a solution and soon. xx

In the prime of life. i dont think spiders can hert budgies ... i just wonder if you take him to the vets and see if they can find out what he died of ..not nice i no .....but .....just might save all the other birds........ i no if a mouse urinates on there seed that will kill them ...or mabe some wood they have peed on and the birds chew ... i think a autopsy would nail it ....thats your best bet ....
