Has anyone crossed one of them with a budgie ? could it be done ? Hmm, interesting but I don't think it would be possible.

Would depend on their genetic makeup, but galahs have been crossed with cockatiels by breeders, and also with major mitchell cockatoos, naturally, in the wild. They have been spotted in some flocks - western Australia, I think it was.

Hi It certainly is a Rosella. If you want a pink budgie Wash an albino in a bath with a few drops of food colourant. It happened lots of times years ago & was reported in Newspapers as a new colour. Have to admit I sold a few myself but with the proviso that. The colour could not be guaranteed not to fade with age. OK so I was younger then & I seem to be the only willing to own up.....B.J. You can get your dog dyed at any grooming parlour.. no BJ its not a Rosella..... it is defo a rosa bourke.... hers a link of rosa bourkes www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=hts&oq=&hl=en-GB&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4ACAW_enGB448GB445&q=rosa+bourkeand i no you can get your dog dyed but i wouldnt tell anyone it was its own real color ... nor would i with a budgie .... but still its nice you owned up about it .. .. dad says can he have his money back for that pink budgie you sold him ;D....

Hi Over the years many crosses between parrot types Have been tried by breeders. The rosa x budgie especially by hopeful novice's. If & when if ever its successful It will probably be in a laboratory by scientists.....B.J.

They are very similar sizes to budgies and also I'd say a longer tail

They are very similar to a budgie, and in a country with bigger budgies over-all, it would be easy for someone who didn't know to make that mistake. Even here in Australia, with our much small general budgie, I have had to do a double-take at times.
