I have been told off ...... My partner says no more budgies as Ernest and Winnie have been so Load also the mess even though I clean up everyday the seeds r everywhere and because they r in dif cages it's both rooms lol I am getting a mini Hoover for Xmas lol I also take the newspaper before she has read it for the bottom of the cage She does not want to looooookkkkk at the budgies when Winnie is doing something silly and I want her to watch her not tv Also I am not allowed a aviary because well she just said no lol Every time she is on the phone Winnie starts going crazy and I get the look Se is not interested about what toys Winnie would love And finally I must stop using her carrots and veg to feed to the birds as I use them up ( this will never hap) So unfair

Awwww. This is unfortunate, Liz! My partner can sometimes be the same, but he's fallen in love with the birds now too.

What a shame... It's hard to accept that some people just don't feel the same way about budgies as we do- well not at first anyway!!

Thing is Winnie loves her because she reads next to her cage when she gets close to the cage she flies to the front and also talks to her with chubby checks and my partner tickles her tummy threw the bars. Winnie is not keen on me ha ha bites me and freaks out spent ages trying with her. But as my Nanna says birds r my really meant to be touched an held some birds hate it an some r on with it. Lol But on the upside she did drive me down to pick up the big bird cage she just rolls her eyes at it all lol

I know I have massive cage with two birds that will be in it it's very temping to add two more and that's max for that cage my partner pointed out just because it's the max does not mean I should fill it :-( oooooo I really would like a exhibition albino male I also like the blue ones with the yellow faces lol I did have a green and yellow Noah who passed away so can't bear to get green or any type of green :-( But as I have seen lil sweetie on here I really like the lacewing colouring but gather that's a very rare type so I guess what u want is not always possible lol

Does your partner have a hobby or a pastime that she likes ? That's my method of defense ;D Then you can say "well you do such and such and I don't mind and let you enjoy your hobby " I think everyone should have something they enjoy doing mine has always been with animals And hubby new this when we got together as we actually met at our local dog track I was 13 and he was 14 .. So over the last 38 yrs its been a case of love me love my dog ... dogS, Fish, rabbits , rats, hamsters, mice , guinea pigs, reptiles, terrapins and birds ;D
Admitedly most were while my kids were young and growing up but I never stopped them from having a pet , they could have mostly anything ..exept spiders and snakes ;D

Birds r not her thing really and was my idea to get them so as they r my pet se has nothin to do with them but as they take up a large amount of our living room and she has been pooed on to lol O well I will have to sneak more birds in one by one lol she said the cage Winnie is in will go in the loft so I can't :-( lol

Awww I know that feeling all too well. My family and friends eyes tend to glaze over now when I talk about the budgies but I don't care. Well not too much ;D Just think that they will never know how lovely budgies are and that you get Winnie and Ernests attention all to yourself lol. It will be easier once quarantine is over, no more calling to each other then and only one mess to sort out x

People hardly ever ask about my birds, apart from my one close (very close..) male friend who is lovely My family rarely do. Liz, you can come here and talk to us when you feel there is no one else Your partner loves them really, she just doesn't feel she can express it. Or she could be jealous of the attention you give them? Some people are like that.
