Nah, that was the day we brought her home! I need to get some updated ones Her beak was quite dirty and she was looking quite scruffy with her pin feathers!

We have egg number three! It was laid yesterday, so I'm guessing she's going to stick to one every two days if she is having any more So egg 1 - 20th April - Should hatch 7th May (if my calculations are correct?) Egg 2 - 22nd April - Should hatch 8th May. Egg 3 - 24th April - Should hatch 10th May.

4th egg laid yesterday! ^_^ I didn't think she'd lay any more because her cycle of laying one every other day stopped, but I checked last night and we have a new egg!
Anyone know when I can have a try of candling them? Is there a specific kind of torch to use?

Most say to use a pen light, but I use a torch that is bright enough to shine through the egg Congrats on the eggs by he way Nicola

We're up to five eggs! I'm not sure when the last one was laid, but I'm going to say last night/early morning. I'm a bit afraid to candle because she's a bit edgy when I go near the box, so I may just wait.

Waiting is the best way for edgy hens.

Still worried mama has mites, after she lost some feathers. We'll figure it out. Baby is cheeping a lot I will try to get a picture when I can. Here's one blurry one I managed to get. She ran away after! And some of Penny/Benny.
