Delaisse, agree with Skysmum, what's done is done, and let's move forward. We can't have three unhappy budgies, so you seem to have fixed that little problem. If it were me, I would give myself and Oliver time together, just sitting talking quietly - if you use your computer a lot, make room for his cage on the desk and go about your work, talking all the while. offer him treats until he starts to respond. When he is out, have a spare perch or piece of dowel to use to get him to step up onto. Sometimes in the beginning they are more comfortable stepping onto this rather than your finger. Again, use Trot to help you. I suggest you leave the third budgie out of the room while you are doing this, he is just a distraction for the other two. Don't be too disappointed when Oliver doesn't do the next time what he did the time before. That's budgies for you. I am taming two at the moment, and we have good days and then the next day we will get nowhere. And if we have a crap day one day, often the next day is much better. It seems like we are constantly going two steps forward, one step back. But the best thing is we are making progress. And so are you with Oliver. Even if it isn't noticeable yet.
